#3 La Taqueria - The Big 100 Eat

I have fond memories of La Taqueria...during college a classmate brought a group of us including my professor to her favorite taco joint in the Mission. The class was the Asian-American Experience and my professor is an amazing guy. He was a lawyer, ambassador, advocate for many Asian-American related issues. Professor Luong took everyone on a field trip to Turtle Tower and in return we took Luong to La Taqueria.

La Taqueria in San Francisco - Carnitas tacos

Returning years later, La Taqueria hasn't changed a bit and I can still remember the 6 of us crowding at one table; laughing, talking and eating with our messy hands. The #3 carnitas tacos on 7x7 Magazine- 100 Things to try before you die in San Francisco are amply filled with tender very finely chopped carnitas, also with very finely chopped salsa placed on a warm corn flour. A really simple taco but done right. I don't remember paying about $5 for a carnitas taco with gucamole and sour cream.

That looks delicious. I like how things are finely chopped.
